Christmas where you and your friends or family can have our traditional Cumbrian country inn over the festive period all to yourselves!
Our fantastic package for 8 people includes:
- three nights bed and breakfast in our lovely four-star rated accommodation - all of our rooms are booked out exclusively for your party - arrival 24th December (Christmas Eve) and depart 27th December
- two three-course evening meals and full Cumbrian Christmas dinner for 8 four bottles of quality house wine per evening meal
- the whole of the inn to yourselves on Christmas Day where you can relax and open presents by the fireside and enjoy our gorgeous Cumbrian Christmas dinner (the inn then opens at 4pm)
- children and dogs more than welcome

Your Itinerary
- Christmas Eve
Arrive to a warm welcome from your hosts. Once you have settled in, enjoy mulled wine and mince pies which will be served in the bar. This is a great opportunity to get to know your hosts and also relax with the other members of your party. Our three-course evening meal will then be served. We would be grateful if you would let your hosts know what time you would like to dine. After dinner, settle down in the bar by the roaring fire. Don't forget to leave mince pies and sherry in the hearth for Santa Claus and a carrot for Rudolph! - Christmas Day
Merry Christmas! Our sumptuous Mardale breakfast will be served for you at your leisure in the morning. The fire will be already lit for you and your party to come downstairs and open your presents around. The morning is then free for you to explore our beautiful part of the Lake District at your leisure or there are plenty of board games to play. If you require any advice on local walks or church services then our hosts will be happy to help you. Our full Cumbrian Christmas Dinner of Roast Turkey and all the trimmings will then be served at 2pm. Coffee, mince pies and Christmas cake will then be served, if you still have room! Our inn will then be open at 4pm to welcome Christmas Day customers. An optional light meal will be served later on if required. - Boxing Day
Our Mardale breakfast will be served between 8am and 10am. After you have spent the day at your leisure with your guests, your three-course evening meal will be served between 6pm and 9pm (please let your hosts know what time you would like to dine). At 9.30pm we will be hosting a quiz night in the bar. It is a fun quiz and the more people who take part the merrier - there are some great prizes to be won! - 27th December
Our Mardale breakfast will be served between 8am and 10am. After breakfast we would be grateful if you could vacate your bedrooms by 11am. We will then wish you a fond farewell and hope you come to see us again soon.
