Eagle watching

Did you know that the last remaining golden eagle in Britain nests high above Haweswater? The informative RSPB site has lots of information on the eagle (please click here). There are also lots of buzzards, dippers, peregrines and redstarts.

Red Squirrel spotting

Cumbria is home to lots of red squirrels - hopefully you will get to see one if you come to stay with us. If you venture out for a quiet walk, perhaps in the early morning or at dusk, you may just spot one or two.
